Next to a Scottish bard romanticised as a Homer-type figure, the Deerhound dreams of the chase: unicorns.
By the early 19th century Deerhound numbers had become very low. The McNeill brothers – Archibald and Duncan - developed a breeding programme to revitalise the Deerhound population.
