The amphora scene is based on an episode in William of Palerne (1350). Two lovers escape from a disapproving uncle into the forest and dress as bears to evade capture. The uncle releases his Bloodhounds to re-cover the pair but a Werewolf confuses the scent trail and the lovers remain unfound.
