The stem cup shows a Lundehund at the base of a geological section. This Norwegian breed hunts puffins. To climb and scramble up cliffs and steep inclines the dog was bred for increased joint flexibility in the shoulders and neck and evolved a sixth toe.

Inspired by a Mycenaean stemmed cup at the New York Metropolitan Museum (1972.118.137).
